In the summer, the area offers the possibility of numerous walks and excursions, of all levels of difficulty, up to guided ascents on the Monte Rosa glacier.
To put on the agenda: visit to the Savoia Castle

We recommend a visit to the Beck Peccoz regional museum in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, which can be reached in a few minutes.
Also noteworthy is the Bard Fort, about 30 minutes away.

Winter

In winter, in the Gressoney valley it is possible to practice alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering, in the MonterosaSki District, with over 200km of slopes, as well as an ice rink, a snow park and playgrounds for the little ones.
Don't forget to contact the Office du Tourime which organizes heliskiing, snowshoeing and ice climbing, or to go to the Sport Haus, the Gressoney sports hall.

History & Geography

The Lys Valley (known as the Gressoney Valley) is a side valley of the Aosta Valley.
It takes its name from the Lys torrent, or from the main center of Gressoney-Saint-Jean.
It is characterized by the presence of a strong Walser tradition.
Going up the valley, starting from Pont-Saint-Martin, you come across the following municipalities in order: Perloz, Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, Gaby, Gressoney-Saint-Jean, Gressoney-La-Trinité

The lady who works there is a sweetheart. The cuisine is very familiar and the low price is really worth it because it is very good. We'll be back or definitely.

Family structure and very welcoming staff; good quality home-cooked food, extremely helpful staff.
More than excellent value for money. Good position to reach ski resorts or to visit the valley.
